It would be nice if it was possible to connect to the online version of the article via the DOI number, I known I can do it in the Mendeley Web, but the desktop program gives better overview.

Hi Kurt, it means that you can use the PubMed ID to retrieve metadata (by entering the PMID and pressing the Lookup button). “Manual” because you still have to do this manually – for the next release, we’ll try to query PubMed automatically based on the metadata that Mendeley Desktop extracts from your PDFs.

What does “manual PubMed ID lookups” mean? There is a button in Mendeley Desktop for DOI lookup, and one for PMID lookup, but I can’t use these to connect to online versions of the articles?
