Abstract

Life tables were generated for adults of 5 geographic strains of Aedes aegypti aegypti, yellow fever mosquito, reared in either a fluctuating temperature and humidity regime or a constant regime of temperature and humidity. Significant differences could be shown among strains for the mean lifetimes of both sexes, net reproductive rates and intrinsic rates of increase. However, life table characteristics did not differ among the cohorts reared in the 2 environments.
