The first edition of The International Classification of Headache Disorders published in 1988 was accepted throughout the world for scientific purposes. The second edition (ICHD-II) has been published in 2004. ICHD-II categorized headache groups into four parts; part 1: the primary headaches, part 2:the secondary headaches, part 3: cranial neuralgias, central and primary facial pain and other headaches, and Appendix. All headache disorders are classified into major 14 groups. Clinicians need to know the diagnostic criteria of 1.1 migraine without aura, 1.2 migraine with aura, 2 tension-type headache and 3.1 cluster headache.
