INTUITION: ITS BOUNDARIES AND ROLE IN ORGANIZATIONAL DECISION-MAKING
Academy of Management Best Conference Paper (2004)
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to re-conceptualize intuition and discuss (1) when intuition is likely to be used in decision-making, and (2) when the use of intuition in decision-making is likely to be effective. We argue that developing this knowledge may enable managers to engage in fast, effective decision-making. INTRODUCTION
