Abstract

The modern management paradigm changes - changing social structure and changes surrounding comes to first place, where groups of interest start to dominate, social networks, society, fast orientation to information, communication and knowledge management methods art and style strengthens. It's harder for companies to compete in conditions of globalization. Price is no longer the determinative factor when it comes to quality parameters of services or products, with harder requirements of interested sides. Organizations, who want to survive and become stronger in competitive surrounding, use different methods of quality management, which help to assure effective management of organization. One of most widespread quality management methods in Lithuania is the implementation of management systems based on international standard requirements. Research methods: systematic analysis of scientific literature, general and logical analysis, methods of comparision and summarize. In data, provided by Lithuania standardization department, by 2007-02-01 the were 715 certified quality management systems, which comply to ISO 9001:2000 standard requirements, 262 certified environment safety management systems, which comply to ISO 14001:2004 standard requirements and 35 other certified management systems (food safety and etc.1). Compared to last years data (2006-02), the amount of certified quality management systems increased by 15.3 percent, environment safety systems by 19.6 percent. Such statistics shows, that organizations recognizes the advantage of management systems, which comply to international standard ISO 9001:2000 requirements, orienting management systems trying to reach the main targets of quality management system principals: customer focuse, leadership, involvement of people, process approach, system approach, continual improvement, factual approach to decision making, mutually beneficial supplier relationship. Because, one of the main conditions for country's development and modernization are innovations, economics based on knowledge, ability to originate and to apply in all areas new ideas, so organizations, independent from their activities, are trying to become innovative - their create, adopt, integrate innovations and seek for ways, how to manage the innovative activity more effective. Quality management system gives the ability to plan, organize, implement and control innovative activity by using generalized management experience of other organizations, described by ISO 9001:2000 standard requirements. The purpose of this topic - define management system role in controlling innovative activity and assuring the possibility to minimize business management risk. The model of innovative activity control is analyzed, which is integrated into organizations process map by defining the main management elements, defined by ISO 9001:2000 standard requirements, is analyzed in this topic. In adopted model the variables are extracted, which the organization can direct to the desired direction by controlling them purposeful, and variables, which do not depend from concrete organization actions, but directly impact the possibilities of innovative activities control. The innovative activities control elements are analyzed by international standard ISO 9001:2000 element 7.3 "Design and development" requirement aspect, providing this requirements appliance necessity and faults for organizations are analyzed in this topic. Main results and conclusions: ∙ The main element of innovation action process defined in ISO 9001:2000 standard part 7.3 "Design and development" is systematic establishing and maintaining of records. ∙ Innovation action can be defined as planing and improvement element (ISO 9001:2000 standard part 4 and 8) also as part of existing actions (ISO 9001:2000 standard part 7).… (English) [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
