Abstract

This 216-page book, which is written in Italian, is number 19 in a series that focuses on wildlife conservation problems in Italy. This book concentrates on the bats of Italy, including a review of all aspects of bat research and management, from planning to carrying out studies and management activities. Descriptions of the 35 species of bats currently recognized in Italy and their distribution maps are included. The text is supplemented with tables, figures, and photographs. An English summary is provided. Users of this book will be bat researchers, conservation biologists, and wildlife managers.
