Abstract

Reference is made to the general method of management of Australian pastures, and to the control of weeds. The composition of the native Queensland pastures is given as consisting of the following genera and species: Andropogon, Cynodon dactylon, Paspalum (especially P. panicitlatum, P. con-jugatum, and P. dilatatum), Panicum clandestinum, Rottboellia, Sorghum, Chrysopogon, Imperata, and Heteropogon. The value of Panicum barbinode to the dairying industry in the tropical region is said to be outstanding.-A.R.B. Source: CAB
