Abstract

A new species of Hyla is described from the western portion of the Cordillera Nombre de Dios of northern Honduras. The new species is unusual in having both a tuberculate dorsum and a bold ventral pattern. Based on adult morphology. and osteological characteristics, the new species appears to be most closely related to H. lancasteri of Costa Rica and western Panama.
