Abstract

Virtualization and Cloud Computing technologies have gone mainstream as vendors try to reinvent them selves to offer new cloud services. While hardware based virtualization has many benefits, it lacks from a high-level of scalability required to offer cost effective cloud computing to the masses. Multi-tenant virtualization remedies this bottle neck by focusing on software based virtualization. Unfortunately most multi-tenant implementations depend on modifying existing applications to function or require new applications to be developed. In this paper we present a novel approach to build a multi-tenant platform which could run unmodified LAMP applications in a flexibile, secure and scalable manner. © 2011 Global IT Research Inst.
