Abstract

In Wrong Place, Wrong Time, John Rich examines how powerfully and frequently post-traumatic stress disorders affect the lives of young African-American men who have survived a violent assault. In a brief interview, he discusses the impetus for the book, the behaviors he has witnessed among his post-traumatic stress patients, and the way in which trauma has transformed him as a practicing physician.
