Abstract

A torrenticolous dolichopodid species, Liancalus zhenzhuristi Negrobov, 1979, is redescribed and illustrated including the first description of the female. The pupa and final instar larva are also described and biological notes are given. A checklist of the world species of Liancalus Loew and a key to all six named East Asian species of the genus are also provided.
