The article examines the burgeoning field of camera phone practices in South Korea, one of the considered global centers for mobile media innovation. A case study involving 34 Korean university students and focusing on the micro-politics of the everyday camera phone users is discussed. The study found out that mobile phone serves as an extension of social rituals that are predicated on actual contact.
