Abstract

A fluorescent probe selectively senses inorganic mercury in the turn-on mode through a mercury ionpromoted hydrolysis reaction that leads to a coumarin, among various other metal species except Au(III). © 2010 Published by Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
