Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows: The purpose of this review is to assess the effectiveness of systematic preconception genetic risk assessment in women of reproductive age, in healthcare settings, to improve the early identification and reproductive choices of women identified to be carriers of thalassaemia, sickle cell disease, cystic fibrosis or Tay-Sachs disease when compared to usual care.
