Digital Millennium Copyright Act

The Digital Millennium Copyright Act requires the complainant to include certain information in a complaint, and providing that information in the initial contact may help speed resolution of the complaint.

The Digital Millennium Copyright Act specifies that for an infringement notice to be effective, the notice must be a written communication provided to the abovementioned Designated Agent that includes substantially the following:

1. The name, address, telephone number, and if available, e-mail address of the claiming party;
2. A description of the copyrighted work the party claims has been infringed;
3. A description of where the alleged infringing material is located;
4. A statement that the party has a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized;
5. An electronic or physical signature of the party; and
6. A statement by the party, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in their notice is accurate and that they are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.

Upon receiving notice of a claimed infringement, we will expeditiously remove or disable access to the material and will notify the subscriber who posted it.
