Anybody aware of current research into social media practices, particularly viewed through the lens of identity?
Also what would be the most useful way to categorize the papers in this group? Where do your interests in digital identity lie?

KeAnne Hoeg Fred Stutzman, a former professor of mine, has some research that might be of interest: http://fredstutzman.com/research.html

Bonnie Stewart Interesting...thanks for this. His social capital bits and pieces are particularly interesting for me: my own work focuses in part of trying to trace the different types of capital that operate/circulate in social media identity performances. Appreciate the link.

Welcome to the Digital Identities Mendeley group, everyone. It's open and informal: my hope is it'll be a resource space for all of us interested in the idea of digital identities, especially from a social/societal perspective.
If you have articles (yours or others) that you think would make good reading on this topic, add them, please. I'll keep seeding the collection as I compile my lit review.
Other suggestions welcome too, in terms of discussion and networking. Looking forward to getting to know each other better. :)
