I'm looking for information on a specific subject: there are guest-host relationships in the animal kingdom, but what about hospitality, or hospitable behaviour? Does anybody have a suggestion?

I would just do general searches. The work is in science, nature, evolution, PNAS, and all the major behavior journals. But you might miss something if you target specific journals.

Did you think of looking at cichlid studies? Because I am nearly sure that at least in Neolamprologus pulcher groups welcome new helpers. I just don't know if they have to fight their way into the group, but I would guess it depends on the fish. I actually never studied group choices, but in artificially made gro...
