About this group
The purpose of this course is to provide a comprehensive examination of the foundations of higher education in the United States. This examination will focus on the philosophical assumptions that guide higher education, the unfolding of its history, and the ways in which philosophy and history have shaped the higher education curriculum. In short, this course seeks to answer three guiding questions for higher education: How did we get here? What do we teach? How do we function?
