This is a free online public enquiry database that provides taxonomic and biological information. The database is constantly being updated and expanded with addition of new data sets. At present about 55 per cent of described species are listed in the Australian Faunal Directory. Roderic Page Mendeley has some major gaps, but I think it is far and away the best implementation of online bibliographic management. Anything which enables me to "outsource" interface design gets my vote.

Roderic Page @elyw Welcome to the group! As I mentioned to @ghwhitbread, still lots of cleaning to do, but managing to find lots of AFD references in BHL. I hope to put a simple interface together to enable people to browse these references taxonomically.

Most references have the Australian Faunal Directory PUBLICATION_GUID as a keyword, although this has been lost for some references when Mendeley de-duplicated them.
