About this group
Organizational communities of various kinds are an object of organizational research for a long time. An advent of the term 'community of practice' from the 90s displays just one example of the importance of organizational communities. Whereas e.g., Brown & Duguid emphasize potentials of organizational communities for innovation already 1987, research on organizational communities did not follow up their ideas to apply this concept to broadly foster innovation activities throughout organizations.
