I realise that this might seem slightly tangential, but I wonder if anyone could point me in some directions of exploration?

I am interested in the prevention of drowning. there are many different quite specific demographics to this and one is the 18-25yr old male. There are two specific groups that I'm interested in targeting - the ones who drown in City Centre water features (eg canal basins) in the evening under the influence of alcohol and the ones who drown while with friends during the day at an unsupervised open-water leisure spot (eg picnic site) where they are behaving 'adventurously'. The reason I'm asking here is that I'm interested in seeing if there are aspects of social marketing that can be used to channel these behaviours.

Any pointers would be hugely appreciated.
Thanks
Graham
