Biographical Information
I have over 10 years of research experience in environmental economics. I joined the Mexican National Institute of Ecology in 2003 as a junior researcher. I gained knowledge on policy relevant research topics, and experienced the politically driven challenges to implement well-informed public policies. By 2005, I decided to pursue a PhD degree in agricultural and environmental economics with the ultimate goal of properly informing public policy makers.
I have a well-developed applied microeconomic research agenda at the intersection of discrete choice modeling, non-market valuation, evaluation of conservation and biodiversity policies, and evaluation of land titling policies.
