Biographical Information
An award-winning teacher and author, Alexander Huang is Professor of English, Theatre and Dance, East Asian Languages and Literatures, and International Affairs, Founding Co-Director of the Digital Humanities Institute, Director of Graduate Studies in English, and Director of the Dean's Scholars in Shakespeare at George Washington University, Research Affiliate in Literature at MIT, and a General Editor of The Shakespearean International Yearbook. He served as Vice President of the Mid-Atlantic Region Association for Asian Studies (MARAAS, 2011-2012) and Vice President of the Association for Asian Performance (AAP, 2010-2012). He also served as distinguished visiting professor at the Seoul National University (South Korea) and early modern faculty of the Middlebury College Bread Loaf School of English at Lincoln College, Oxford (UK).
