Biographical Information

Andreas Dieckmann has been working with BIM applications since the mid-nineties (before it was called BIM). He began using Revit in 2007 and since then has never wanted to do another project without it. Andreas teaches various BIM classes at RWTH Aachen University / Germany where he has been working for the chair of Computer Aided Architectural Design (CAAD) for almost a decade now. In 2009, CAAD won Autodesk's BIM Experience Award. The year after that, an RWTH student team won a joint first prize together with the StEx team of TU Graz when participating at the German BIM Conference 2010 Design Slam in Berlin. Along with five other partners, Andreas founded the Aachen-based office IP arch in 2005, which recently completed its first major project. He is currently rather busy trying to write his PhD thesis.
