Biographical Information
Received my B.A. in Geology at the College of Wooster in 2011 where my Independent Study Research focused on a Cretaceous paleoenvironmental reconstruction in Israel. The study included a suite of fossils (i.e. shark teeth, bivalves, ichnofossils, echinoids, foraminiferans) and aimed to settle a debate on whether the formation represents a shallow or deep marine realm. Currently, I'm attending Idaho State University to obtain my M.S. in Geosciences, working with Dr. Leif Tapanila. My thesis work will involve paleoenvironmental reconstruction of post-Alamo Impact (a bolide impact event in southern Nevada) units and how they may reflect significant topographic changes within what once was a calm carbonate platform system. The work will include a mix of microfacies and sedimentology/stratigraphy alongside paleontological aspects.
