Biographical Information
I am currently a PostDoc working at the University of Bristol in the School of Earth Sciences. I am investigating the dynamics of rising bubbles in enclosed spaces in collaboration with Dr Alison Rust and Dr Jeremy Phillips. This research is based upon experimental work I am currently performing in the Chemical Engineering department of the Univeristy of Nottingham with Prof Barry Azzopardi.
Prior to this position I held a PostDoc in the Centre for Integrative Neuroscience and Neurodynamics (CINN) at the University of Reading where I worked on developing a integrated model coupling cerebral blood flow with neural activity (working with Dr Etienne Roesch, Prof Doug Saddy and Dr Slawek Nasuto). I did my PhD in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Bristol on the problem of transition to turbulence in shear flows. My supervisor was Prof Rich Kerswell, though I also worked with Dr Yohann Duguet and Dr Ashley Willis. I also spent three months visiting Prof Alessandro Bottaro at the Facoltà di Ingegneria, Università di Genova as a FLUBIO fellow.
