Biographical Information

I am a PhD scholar (Computer Science) at Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (IIIT-D). My advisor is Dr. Ashish Sureka and Dr. Ponnurangam Kumaraguru. Previously, I have completed Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science from Mumbai University (RAIT), Navi Mumbai, India. I worked for 1.5+ years as a Software Engineer in Software Engineering and Technology Labs (SETLabs) at Infosys Technologies Limited, Bangalore, India. My current research interests are in the area of text mining, information extraction, natural language processing, machine learning and data mining.

I am looking into applications of data mining, text mining, natural language processing, social network analysis in the are of Intelligence & Security Informatics (ISI). In particular, I am building tools to help law enforcement agencies and security analysts to identify hate/racism/extremism in Web 2.0 technologies.
