Fabio Giglietto, PhD

Fabio Giglietto, Phd is assistant Professor at the Department of Communication and Human Studies of the University of Urbino “Carlo Bo” where he also teaches Theory of Information in the Faculty of Social Science (B.A. Communication Sciences). Since 1997 is a member of LaRiCA (Research Laboratory on Advanced Communication). His main research interests is theory of information, communication and social systems with a specific focus on the relationship between social systems and new technologies. He is currently working on developing metrics to understand the relationship between social media practices and ‘real world’ phenomena.
Since 2010 he is also a member of the board of RC51 on Sociocybernetics, a research committee of the International Sociological Association and member of editorial board of the Journal of Sociocybernetics.
