Biographical Information
I studied astrophysics at Edinburgh University, and then Columbia University. That gave me a good grounding in both theoretical and computational physics. After that I worked in a number of roles within the academic publishing industry. That gave me an appreciation for how much better one could do with the data to hand.
Prior to coming to Mendeley I was lucky to work in Nature's Web Publishing Group, where we experimented with online tools for scientists. Now I'm here at Mendeley, and I'm hoping to bring my experience to bear on making really cool things for academics.
