Biographical Information
Joaquim Llisterri received a PhD in Romance Philology from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in 1987, and he was appointed full-time lecturer in General Linguistics at the same university in 1989. He teaches undergraduate courses in General Linguistics and Phonetics and graduate courses on Speech Technologies and Spoken Language Resources. He is now head of the Phonetics Group of the Department of Spanish Philology at UAB and member of the consolidated research group CLiC (Center for Language and Computation) at the Universitat de Barcelona.
