He has been in Scholarly publishing, in a wide variety of roles, for
more than 15 years beginning from his part time job to develop the
manuscript tracking system when he was a graduate student at
University of Tokyo. At Chemical Society of Japan, he has worked
successively as a role of an Editor, a Production Manager, an
E-journal Manager, and a Promotions Manager. Covering a broad range of
roles in publishing, he is focused on scholarly communication through
E-journals, and he has reconstructed and improved the way of
publishing managed through his skills involving information technology
and his scientific background. He has been appointed several roles of
governmental sections to improve scholarly publishing in Japan and his
research interest now includes the future of the scholarly communication.
