Biographical Information
Kevin S. Clarke is currently the Digital Library Applications Programmer for the Grateful Dead Archive at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Previously, he worked as the Dryad Data Repository Programmer at the National Evolutionary Synthesis Center (Duke University), as the Digital Projects Programmer at Firestone Library (Princeton University), as the Digital Information Systems Developer at Lane Medical Library (Stanford University), and as the Digital Projects Librarian/Coordinator of Web Services at Belk Library (Appalachian State University).
He holds a Master of Science in Information Science from UNC Chapel Hill, and has been programming professionally since 2000. Since graduating, he has contributed to several books and articles on XML technologies, metadata, and digital collections. He has also taught, part-time, at the School of Library and Information Science at San Jose State University. He is interested in open source software and its use in the library environment.
