Biographical Information
Klaus von Grebmer, a citizen of Switzerland, is a Senior Research Fellow and Strategic Advisor in the Director General's Office. Prior to joining DGO, he was director of IFPRI's Communications Division.
Klaus joined IFPRI in 1999. Before that, Klaus worked for 26 years in the private sector as a business consultant, health economist, and senior manager in communications and issues management. In 1998 he joined the World Bank within its Staff Exchange Program and was a principal operations officer in rural development. He earned master's and Ph.D. degrees in economics from Kiel University, Germany.
