Biographical Information
I watched the ideas of my childhood crumble and burn, but I knew the tools I grew up with weren’t enough. So I sought wisdom through books. In every domain of life, I found a recurring and fundamental problem: We don’t understand the context of our actions. And so we become the architects of our own demise. I needed to understand—not for the sake of knowing, but for the sake of living.
From that point on, my thoughts have been irreducibly interdisciplinary. Each discipline contributes to an understanding of the whole, so I read widely. The books on my desk represent philosophy, psychology, neuroscience, sociology, criminology, history, literature, biology, and ecology. But my deepest gratitude remains with philosophy: it taught me to look, to think, and to integrate.
