Biographical Information
I am currently a Ph.D. student in the department of Computer Science at the University of Arizona. I do research in the Arizona Robotics Research Group:ARRG. My advisor is Dr. Ian Fasel. I received my M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Arizona in 2011 and hope to finish my Ph.D. by May 2014.
I got my B.S. in Computer Engineering (majoring in Software Engineering) from Shahid Beheshti University, one of the top 5 universities in Iran. My B.S. advisor was Dr. Mehrnoosh Shamsfard. My thesis, titled Ontology Mapping, includes a framework for ontology mapping in general, plus a survey and comparison of all the tools and techniques available at that time (2005). The result of this work is published in proceedings of the 2nd international conference on Information and Knowledge Technology (IKT) in Iran. I spent a few years working in industry to gain more experience before I applied to grad school.
