Biographical Information
Paul Foeckler is one of the Mendeley founders. He graduated from the Bauhaus-University Weimar in September 2006 studying Computer Science / Media System Science. Prior to Mendeley, Paul worked at the intersection between business and technology in various internet startups in Germany and London and was doing consulting work for web projects of the UK Film Council. In 2005 Paul won the best paper award at the International Conference on Mobile and Ubiquitous Computing with his publication on object recognition in the context of mobile museum guidance. The application he developed as part of his publication received nationwide attention and was used by the Senckenberg Museum, one of the largest Natural History Museums in Germany.
