Biographical Information
An MPhil Chartered Chemist and Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (CChem MRSC), with over 45 years (incl. 33 years lab-based) experience. Currently, I am a Visiting Researcher (University of Liverpool), author of the annual 'Physical Methods' chapter in 'Organophosphorus Chemistry' (RSC), and blogger (ChemSpy). My background includes R&D: pharma, organic synthesis and analysis, analytical, product and process development, troubleshooting, consultancy, and teaching and training methods in industry and academe. Past organizations include Fisons Pharmaceuticals, Zeneca Pharmaceuticals, Linde Medical Gases, British Pharmacopoeia Commission (Dept of Health), British Pepper and Spice Co, North East Wales Institute / Newtech (Clwyd), Ilford Photo R & D, Orchard Analytical GC-MS Consultancy (Owner and Principal), South Cheshire College (part-time lecturer) and Staffordshire University (researcher).
