Biographical Information
I joined the Mendeley team almost 3 years ago, after moving to London from sunny Seville where I used to work as a Web developer for the Spanish National and Research Education Network and the Spanish Science and Technology Foundation.
As part of the Web team, I have had the opportunity to work in really diverse projects - It is worth highlighting the design and implementation of the Mendeley API, integration of other Social Networks such as Facebook and Twitter and the implementation of a system for allowing easy roll outs of bucket tests across the site among others.
I try to keep the API developers portal (http://dev.mendeley.com) up to date and give support to other developers in the Mendeley Open API Developers Google group.
I am really interested in authentication, security, scalability (because it matters) and user experience. Although my real passion I am afraid are not computers, but Music. Unfortunately, I wasn't instrumentally gifted so I decided to study Computer Science instead (good move).
I'm a geek even though I don't look like one, I am a teaser, I love my job and when not playing foosball or bouncing on my chair to the rhythm of the music, you'll probably find me in a concert or socialising somewhere around London :)
I tweet as @phpeach and I spotify as leitmotiv.
