Biographical Information
Teresa Guasch is Associate Professor of the Department of Psychology and Education at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC). She has been director of the Educational Psychology Programme (2006-2011). She is also lecturer of the International Masters on e-learning, and she is research chair of the teaching and learning processes area of the PhD programme in e-learning at UOC.
She holds a PhD in Psychology, from Ramon Llull University (2003), with European PhD accreditation. While a PhD candidate she conducted part of her research at the University of Nebraska, University of Kentucky and University of Helsinki. She was lecturer at Ramon Llull University (2000-2001) and International University of Catalunya (2001-2003).
Currently, she is Visiting Fellow of the Centre for Learning Sciences and Technologies (CELSTEC) at the Open University of the Netherlands (February 2011-July 2012).
Her research is focused on the process of teaching and learning in online learning environments, with special focus on teacher training and educational support in writing processes in online environments, such as e-feedback and peer feedback.
She led or participated in different research projects (at national and European level) contributing to a better understanding of teaching and learning processes in virtual learning environments.
She co-coordinates the Ed-Online Research Group http://edon.wordpress.com/ and at the moment, she leads the research project: E-feedback in Collaborative Writing processes: development of teaching and learning competencies in online environments (Feed2learn). Ministry of Science and Innovation. Spain. National Plan I+D+ I. EDU2010-19407.
