Biographical Information

My interests range across 20th century urban culture - early film, literature, the visual and performing arts, and the confluence of modernism and popular culture (high/low). My work as an independent scholar, writer and occasional journalist have similarly rambled across these subjects. I have worked as a syndicated newspaper critic, reviewer, columnist, blogger, and editor for a variety of publications. Some of my journalism has been collected in books published by the National Gallery of Art (Washington D.C.), HarperCollins, University of Nebraska Press, Gale Research, and others. More about me can be found on my website at www.thomasgladysz.com
