A Visualisation Platform for Shoulder Replacement Surgery

Abstract

This note presents a new software platform that has been designed to enable the in- tegration and investigation of visualisation in multiple facets of the shoulder replacement process. What distinguishes this platform from available CAS (Computer Assisted Surgery) software solu- tions is a combination of its focus on visualisation (and specifically of the shoulder), its flexible and scalable architecture (without loss of domain-specific benefits) and the planned integration of predictive modelling.
