Abstract

Low-Density Parity-Check (LDPC) codes have recently received a lot of attention by their excellent error-correcting capability and have been adopted as an optional error correct coding scheme by many standards. This paper presents, reviews and discussed the implementation of LDPC codes in the upcoming WiMax (IEEE802.16e) and DVB-S2 standards. An analysis and simulation of the LDPC codes has been conducted using various code rates. © Springer Science+Business Media B.V. 2008.
