Abstract

Peripheral neuropathies are common and often seen and evaluated in neuromuscular clinics. A large number of these disorders are metabolic, immune-mediated, or genetic in nature. This renders the diagnostic evaluation of patients with these neuropathies more complex and challenging. This chapter provides a structured approach to make an etiologic and cost-effective diagnosis of peripheral neuropathy.
