Abstract

The experience of trauma can have serious and long-term consequences on children's development and well-being. In this chapter, we review a number of psychometrically valid psychological measures that can be used to assist in the assessment of school-aged (6--12 years) children's reactions to trauma and symptoms experienced after being exposed to the trauma.
