Abstract

Studied the value of attributional complexity as a possible moderator in the relationship between attributions and marital satisfaction. Human subjects: 148 normal male and female French Canadian adults (mean age 33.8-36.6 yrs) (74 couples). Ss were administered 5 questionnaires by mail. Polynomial regression analyses were performed. Tests used: An abridged version of the Marital Attribution Style Questionnaire (F. D. Fincham et al, 1987), an abridged version of the Conflict Rating Scale (Fincham and T. Bradbury, 1987), the Attributional Complexity Scale, and the Dyadic Adjustment Scale (G. B. Spanier, 1976).
