Asteroseismology is gaining momentum nowadays. The unprecedent data quality obtained by the CoRoT and Kepler space-borne instruments allows us to probe the stellar physics with a precision never achieved before. Thanks to that, new discoveries have been raising new challenges requiring the use of robust new statistical approaches. F stars (i.e. hot solar-like stars) are among the most complicated solar-like oscillators to analyze. In this paper, we summarize the difficulties the asteroseismic community has faced with F stars and how Bayesian approaches help to solve the issues encountered. © Springer Science+Business Media New York 2013.
