Abstract

In a field experiment in 1990/91 at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, rice cv. IR 20 was grown at spacings of 20 or 15 × 10 cm with or without 200 g Azolla/m². The crop also received 0-240 kg N/ha. Grain yield was higher at the wider spacing and was increased by over 0.5 t with Azolla. Grain yield increased with up to 180 kg N. Source: CAB
