Abstract

Text of a lecture in which the speaker maintained that biomass already contributes a significant part of the world's energy and that how much biomass as an energy source will contribute in the future will depend on decisions that are made at local and national level and internationally. Reference was made to world energy use and biomass energy in the developing countries with specific examples. A discussion followed the lecture.-B.Walls
