Abstract

In this paper we describe the peculiarities of collective linguistic consciousness of Russian youth on the basis of the conducted research of self-awareness and linguistic competence of young people in the conditions of expansion of global networks into everyday life. The media and telecommunications, including the Internet, are in the framework of the determining factor of all spheres of life of modern society. The extremely complex and ambiguous interaction of a person with cyberspace often challenges collective information security and social health, especially in times of globalization. © 2017 Association for Computing Machinery.
