Abstract

Alteration of the position of the eye within the orbit is conventionally achieved by surgery on the extraocular muscles; a new method, selective weakening of one of the muscles with Botulinum Toxin A is described. Results in the first 85 cases treated show that it is a safe, and effective treatment, particularly suited to certain cases of strabismus.
